Anatomical Spine & Neural Illustrations
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m preparing a medical textbook devoted to spine and spinal cord abnormalities and anatomy and I need a series of anatomically accurate illustrations. The artwork must follow a classic anatomical style, clearly depicting vertebrae, spinal nerves, ascending and descending tracts, plus related surface landmarks.
To meet print specifications I’ll require vector or high-resolution raster files (minimum 600 dpi at final size) supplied in EPS, TIFF or layered PSD formats, together with an editable key so I can adapt terminology for different editions. Will be black and white.
Deliverables
• 16 finished illustrations covering cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral regions, major tracts, and a composite overview
• Separate label layer for each file
• Source files plus flattened print-ready versions
Acceptance criteria
• Anatomical accuracy verified against current Gray’s/Netter standards
• Consistent line weight, shading and typography across all plates
• All text legible at 70 % reduction
• Final files pass pre-press check with no colour shift
If you have experience illustrating neurology or spinal surgery material and can share a sample that demonstrates this level of detail, I’d love to review it and discuss timeline and milestones.
I am attaching the images that I would like illustrated. Should be similar but avoid copyright infringement.
