Amazon KDP Cover Formatting

I already have a finished cover design—I just need it properly formatted for Amazon KDP. Your main task is to resize the existing file to 8.5 × 5.5 inches and ensure it meets KDP’s bleed, spine-width, and margin requirements.

Because I’m budgeting for a thorough, worry-free hand-off, I’d like you to:

• Calculate and apply the exact spine width once I give you the final page count.
• Produce a print-ready PDF with embedded fonts, the correct color profile (CMYK), and crops/bleeds clearly set.
• Supply a secondary high-resolution PNG or JPEG for the eBook thumbnail.
• Double-check that all text, barcodes, and critical elements stay within KDP’s safe zones.
• Provide a short note summarizing the steps you took so I have a future reference.

The cover’s visual style is locked; no design changes are needed—just precise, standards-compliant formatting so the book uploads without errors. If you have recent experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or Affinity Publisher for KDP projects, that’s a plus.
