I'm looking for an experienced prepress/graphic production specialist to prepare a print-ready PDF for a premium gift wrapping paper product that will be printed using a digital foil process.
What I need:
A single print-ready PDF containing 5 color channels: the standard CMYK channels plus one spot color channel named exactly "IFOIL" (this naming is required by the printer). The IFOIL spot color layer must be set to overprint — this is critical for the digital foil process and must be configured before export.
Requirements:
Proven experience with spot color separations and prepress file preparation in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator
Understanding of overprint settings (Attributes panel / Ink Manager) and how to verify them in Overprint Preview or Acrobat's Output Preview
Ability to work from the printer's downloadable product template (I will provide the template, a sample PDF file, and my artwork)
Final deliverable verified to separate into exactly 5 plates: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, and IFOIL
Deliverables:
Print-ready PDF with the 5 channels described above, matching the printer's template dimensions and bleed
