Promotional Graphics for Humanities Panel Event.
Description: I am seeking a graphic designer to create promotional images for an upcoming public humanities panel event. The event features faculty from LSU, Tulane University, and Baton Rouge Community College, and will be promoted to universities, local media, and the broader community. The design should feel polished, intellectually engaging, and culturally grounded — not corporate, but not overly playful. Deliverables:
(1) 1 primary event graphic (poster-style layout on for 8.5 x11 inches paper)
(2) Social media versions resized for: Instagram (square), Facebook, Email/newsletter header
These should be a) High-resolution PDF (print-ready) and b) editable source file for Canva.
Style Direction:
Clean, strong typography
Visually compelling but professional
Appropriate for a university and humanities audience
Open to subtle Louisiana cultural references if handled thoughtfully
There has to be some specific language and images at the bottom of the materials to comply with state regulations.
Timeline:
Initial concept within three days of hire. Final files delivered within 1 week.
