InDesign Course Book Typesetting

Job ID: 40524417

Budget: $200 – $300 USD

I have a complete manuscript for a training course that now needs to be transformed into a professionally laid-out book. You may use any software of your choice. However, my preferred platform is Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Publisher, and I am looking for someone who can both design the page architecture and carry out the full typesetting work.

Here is what I can share so far:
• Content mix: the file contains straightforward text sections, supporting images, and a series of explanatory charts that must align closely with the narrative.
• Visual direction: I do not yet have an existing template, so I’ll rely on your design eye for page grids, typography, colour palette, and chart styling that feel fresh while remaining readable in a classroom or self-study context.

Scope of work
1. Establish a clean, reusable InDesign template (master pages, paragraph/character styles, colour swatches, table and chart styles).
2. Import and style all supplied text, images, and charts, ensuring logical flow and consistent hierarchy.
3. Balance white space and content density so the final page count remains reasonable without feeling cramped.
4. Supply press-ready PDF and the packaged InDesign folder (INDD, links, fonts) at the end.

Acceptance criteria
• All text styles mapped to named styles—no local overrides.
• Images and charts embedded at 300 dpi, CMYK, and scaled proportionally.
• Final PDF passes pre-flight with no missing links, font conflicts, or colour-space errors.

If you have prior examples of technical or training materials you have produced in InDesign, please include a link or attachment so I can gauge fit. I’m ready to kick off as soon as I find the right collaborator.
