Multitrack Audio Enhancement for Transcription

Job ID: 39895393

Budget: $250 – $750 CAD

Audio Engineer Needed to Clean and Master Multi-Track WAV Recordings for Transcription

I have a set of field recordings that need professional audio cleanup and mastering for accurate transcription. The sessions were recorded using five Zoom H3-VR Handy Recorders, each producing four-track WAV files (ambisonic format).

Each recorder captured two rounds of conversation (about one hour each). Because participants occasionally paused or restarted the recorders, there are also a few shorter files and a handful of brief clips (one to three minutes) that can likely be ignored once verified.

The goal is to prepare these files for speech transcription in Otter.ai by:

Reducing background noise and room reverb.

Enhancing clarity and presence of the main conversation groups.

Balancing volume levels across channels and sessions.

Exporting the final product as clear, normalized stereo WAV files ready for transcription.

Recording Context:

Large indoor lodge setting.

Multiple small groups (4–5 people per circle) speaking simultaneously.

Significant background murmur from other circles in the same room.

Each H3-VR captured one group’s discussion, with some spillover from others.

Deliverables:

Cleaned and balanced stereo mixdown for each conversation session.

Consistent volume and quality across all files.

Optionally, brief written notes identifying any files with poor signal or unusable content.
