I have a set of mixed-content scans—some handwritten notes blended with printed pages—that must be rebuilt from the ground up. Every heading, table, margin, footnote, bullet, graph, illustration, and equation has to land in the same spot it occupies in the originals, but end up in a clean, fully searchable .docx file and a high-resolution, professional-presentation PDF.

My workflow expects you to run reliable OCR (ABBYY, Adobe, or an equivalent), proof the text line by line, then fine-tune layout in Microsoft Word so spacing, fonts, pagination, and embedded objects match the source perfectly. Once the Word file is locked down, export a print-ready PDF that preserves vector quality on charts and crisp resolution on images.
