PDF Visual Marker Cleanup

I have a multi-page PDF that was originally built in Adobe Acrobat (roughly a dozen pages). The text, layout, fonts, and sizing must stay exactly as they are—I only need the unwanted visual cues gone.
Here’s the precise task: every green “selected-answer” box has to be recoloured back to the neutral white/grey tone used elsewhere, and every tick/check mark on the form must be completely erased. No other elements may move, resize, or reflow. When you return the file, I expect the document to look as though the green highlights and checks were never there in the first place, while all text and formatting remain pixel-perfect.
Please deliver the cleaned, press-ready PDF and, if you prefer, a short note on the steps or tools you used so I can replicate the process in Acrobat for future revisions.
