PDF Form Creation with JavaScript

I need assistance turning a Microsoft Word report template into a fillable PDF using Adobe.
Requirements:
- Add interactive form fields, primarily text boxes.
- Implement custom JavaScript for button actions.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with creating interactive PDF forms
- Knowledge of JavaScript for PDF integration
I have gotten the PDF started and I tried to use the Button Feature and add in JavaScript but it is not working. I want to make this report easy to fill out for my staff that provides some flexibility.
This is report is about 5 pages long with different section, some fill in areas will be in paragraph form, I would love to have the field box grow if more room is needed instead of the scroll option within the text field
