PDF ADA Compliance Conversion
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a text-based PDF that must be remediated so it fully complies with PDF/UA accessibility requirements. All work must be carried out in Adobe Acrobat Pro so the final file keeps its original layout while gaining proper tagging, logical reading order, and screen-reader compatibility.
Deliverables
• Tagged, fully navigable PDF that passes the Adobe Acrobat Pro Accessibility Checker and PAC 3/PAC 2021 validation for PDF/UA
• Accurate document structure—including headings, lists, tables, and semantic tags—mirroring the visual hierarchy
• Correctly set document language, title, and metadata
• Alt text added to any inline graphics, logos, or decorative elements (marked as artifacts where appropriate)
• Bookmarks and tab order aligned with the document outline
• Brief remediation report summarizing fixes and test results
Acceptance criteria
• 100 % PDF/UA compliance with no errors or untagged elements reported by PAC and Acrobat Pro
• Logical reading order confirmed through screen-reader simulation
• No visual shifts or formatting losses compared with the source file
Once these points are met, the project will be considered complete. I have few documents that need conversion but will start with 1 to see how you can do the job. Also, the document is confidential so I will provide to only shortlisted freelancers.
