Ongoing PDF Text Entry

I have a continuous flow of scanned documents in PDF format that need to be converted into clean, well-structured text. Each file contains straightforward paragraphs—no tables or complex layouts—yet accuracy is critical because the content feeds directly into our internal knowledge base.

My current process is simple: I drop new PDFs into a shared folder, and I need you to extract the text, proof it for OCR or typing errors, and return it in a Word doc (or Google Doc) that mirrors the original order and basic headings. Turnaround is usually 24 – 48 hours per batch, and volume can range from a handful of pages to a few hundred each week.

If you have experience with reliable OCR tools like Adobe Acrobat, ABBYY FineReader, or equivalent—and you’re comfortable double-checking the output by eye—this should be a smooth collaboration. Confidential handling is a must because many files contain internal notes.

Deliverables for each batch:
• Clean, editable text file matching the source order
• Quick summary of any unreadable sections or anomalies
• Confirmation of completion with page count and date
