Mixed Data Verification and Cleaning

I have a collection of PDF and Word documents that hold both textual and numerical information. Before this material feeds our internal reporting pipeline, it needs a careful pass to confirm every figure, name and reference is consistent, accurate and free of duplication.

Your job is to go through each document, verify the data against the notes embedded in the files, correct any obvious errors or mis-alignments, and return a clean, standardised set ready for direct import into our system.

Deliverables
• The original PDFs/Word files returned with clear tracked changes or comments on every modification
• A final “clean” version of each file (or a consolidated Excel/CSV, if that’s easier) reflecting all approved fixes
• A brief summary log outlining what was checked, what was corrected and any items that still need clarification

Accuracy and attention to detail are far more important than speed, but I would like realistic milestones so I can plan the downstream work. If you have experience reconciling mixed data from scanned or formatted documents, mention the tools you typically rely on (e.g., Excel, Python, Power Query, Adobe Acrobat) so I know what environment you prefer.
