Floorplan Label Data Extraction

I regularly receive sets of PDF floorplans for aged-care facilities and hospitals. Each file is a scanned image (no embedded text) but the drawings follow a consistent legend and layout. For every plan I simply need every labelled space captured—individual room names as well as department names—and recorded line-by-line in a spreadsheet.

Your task
• Open each scanned PDF, run OCR if you prefer, and visually verify the result.
• Transcribe every room or department label exactly as shown, including abbreviations and punctuation.
• Enter the data into Excel or Google Sheets with two basic columns: “Plan/File name” and “Area label”.

Acceptance
I consider a sheet complete when 100 % of the visible labels from the plan appear in the spreadsheet with no spelling changes. Random spot checks will be used before sign-off.

Volume is steady, so I’m looking for someone who can turn around future batches quickly and accurately. If you have strong attention to detail and are comfortable working with OCR tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Tesseract or similar, let’s get started—I can send a sample file right away.
