Correct Punctuation in Medical PDFs

I have a series of medical reports—well over fifty pages in total—that were scanned to PDF without a final proof-read. All technical terminology and clinical data are already accurate; what I need is a meticulous punctuation pass so every comma, period, colon, semicolon, apostrophe and quotation mark lands exactly where it should.
The files are currently locked in PDF format, so you will likely rely on Adobe Acrobat, PDF-XChange, Foxit or a similar editor to work directly on the pages (or convert them to Word and back, as long as the original layout remains untouched). Consistency with medical style conventions is essential, and patient confidentiality must be safeguarded throughout the process.
Deliverables
• A clean, publication-ready PDF set with all punctuation corrected
• A second copy (or brief change log) highlighting what was adjusted, so I can spot-check your work quickly
Acceptance criteria
The final PDFs must preserve every chart, table and line break exactly as in the originals while eliminating all punctuation errors. If I can read randomly selected sections without finding a single misplaced mark, the job is complete.
