CA Appellate Brief Formatting

Job ID: 39952600

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have finished drafting the substance of a California appellate brief—arguments, facts, record citations, and nearly all legal authorities are already in place. What I still need is a skilled hand to turn that draft into a fully rule-compliant, submission-ready document.

Scope of what I’m looking for
• Verify the brief against the California Rules of Court, ensuring every technical requirement (margins, fonts, word count, certifications, bookmarks, etc.) is satisfied.
• Build a precise, auto-updating Table of Contents and a properly cited Table of Authorities.
• Produce a final, text-searchable PDF in Adobe Acrobat with correct pagination, internal hyperlinks, and electronic bookmarking that mirrors the printed version.

I will supply the Word draft, my citation list, and any missing authority references. You return:
1. The polished, rule-compliant Word file (so I can see tracked changes if needed).
2. The filing-ready PDF created in Adobe Acrobat.

Acceptance will be based on the brief passing the clerk’s technical review without deficiency notices. If you’ve shepherded California briefs through e-filing portals before, this should feel routine.
