Amazon KDP Print-Ready Formatter Needed

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced book formatter / production designer to prepare a print-ready file for Amazon KDP.

This is NOT a full design project. The interior content is already completed in PDF format, including all images and layout. We need a professional who understands KDP and Ingram Spark specifications to ensure everything is properly formatted for print.

Scope of Work:
Interior Formatting (Primary Task):
• Take an existing PDF (8.5” x 11” book)
• Adjust and format to meet Amazon KDP print requirements
• Ensure:
o Proper margins, bleed, and trim settings
o Image alignment and consistency
o No cutoff or formatting issues
o Print-ready export (KDP compliant PDF)

Cover Adjustments (Secondary Task):
• Revise existing cover file to:
o Create a properly sized spine
o Adjust back cover layout
o Hardback
• Use KDP cover calculator specifications for exact sizing

Project Limits:
• No heavy typesetting required
• No content editing
• No redesign of the book interior
• No creative overhaul

Requirements:
• Proven experience with Amazon KDP formatting and Ingram Spark

• Strong understanding of:
o Bleed vs. no-bleed
o Margin safety zones
o Spine width calculation
• Experience using tools such as:
o Adobe InDesign (preferred)
o Acrobat Pro
o Illustrator (for cover adjustments)

Deliverables:
• Print-ready interior PDF (KDP and Ingram Spark compliant)
• Full cover spread (front, spine, back) sized to KDP specs
• Adjust Book cover and Interior for Ingram Spark specs
• Provide completed Source files
