AI Acrobat Writing Tutor for Kids
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I’m building a playful language-learning experience directly inside an Adobe Acrobat PDF for children aged 2-7. The goal is to let a child type (or have an adult type) a very short sentence, send that text to an external AI endpoint, and instantly receive a “stretched” version that:
• adds age-appropriate descriptive words,
• expands the thought into a complete sentence, and
• offers one or two alternative structures the child can compare.
Around this core interaction I want the PDF to guide the child through simple, tap-friendly interactive exercises and mini-storytelling prompts. Think of a page where a character asks, “What did you see today?” and, once the child answers, the AI turns “I saw a dog” into “This morning I saw a friendly brown dog running in the park,” then invites the child to choose their favorite variant or drag highlighted words into place.
Key expectations
• All logic runs from within the Acrobat environment (JavaScript in a rich-media PDF or similar) while calling the external AI endpoint that I will provide.
• The interface must be bright, uncluttered, and touch-friendly so pre-readers can navigate with minimal help.
• Interactive exercises and storytelling pages should be easy for me to duplicate or re-skin later by editing a template layer.
• Return files: the working PDF, commented source scripts, and a short read-me on how to swap out the endpoint or modify prompts.
If you have a clever way to pre-cache responses, improve latency, or optionally integrate voice recognition later, feel free to let me know—flexibility is welcome as long as the first milestone focuses on the sentence-stretching workflow inside Acrobat.
