Accessible Manuscript PDF with TTS

I have a text-only manuscript in PDF format that must become fully accessible. The top priority is seamless text-to-speech support: every heading, paragraph, footnote and page break needs to be properly tagged so a screen-reader voices the content in the correct order without odd pauses or repeated characters.

Because many readers enlarge text, the file also has to accommodate adjustable text size; when someone zooms to 200 % or higher the layout should reflow cleanly, with no need for horizontal scrolling. No images, tables or equations appear in the document, so your attention can stay on accurate structural tagging, embedded fonts and metadata.

Deliverables
• A single PDF/UA-compliant, fully tagged PDF that passes Adobe Acrobat Accessibility Checker and PAC 3
• The accessible source file you worked from (Word, InDesign or similar) so future edits remain easy
• A brief summary (≈1 page) of the workflow, checks performed and TTS test results

Acceptance criteria
• Verified with at least one mainstream text-to-speech screen reader (NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver)
• Logical reading order throughout, including footnotes and end matter
• Text remains readable and visually intact when magnified to 200 %+
