Virtual Legal Assistant Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
You will step into my civil-litigation practice as the remote backbone of our paperwork flow. Your first and constant priority is keeping every legal filing and motion perfectly named, dated, indexed, and retrievable the moment I ask for it. We touch the courts daily, so version control, deadline tracking, and strict compliance with local rules matter more than anything else.
All updates and client touchpoints run through email; clear, well-formatted messages in advanced-level English (C1) are essential because they become part of the official record. When the calendar fills up, you will enter hearings, discovery cut-offs, and reminders directly into our shared system so that nothing slips. Research, quick analysis of procedural questions, and the usual administrative errands round out the day, but the document workflow is where you will make the biggest impact.
To thrive here you already hold a bachelor’s degree in law, know the rhythm of civil litigation, and have at least a year of hands-on legal experience. Detail obsession and solid organizational habits are non-negotiable.
Schedule & Terms
• 100 % remote, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. PST with a one-hour lunch
• Independent contractor agreement, starting at USD 600 per month
• Mid-year and year-end service bonuses, annual salary review, clear growth path inside the firm
Core deliverables
• A continuously up-to-date digital filing system for all active cases
• Daily docket and hearing calendar maintained without conflicts
• Email summaries to clients and me whenever filings are sent, received, or deadlines shift
• Concise research memos on procedural or jurisdictional questions when requested
If you can keep the paperwork flawless and the inbox calm, we will do great work together.
