Personal Filing Assistant Needed
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I need help getting my personal paperwork under control. Everything is in hard-copy form—bank statements, medical records, home-repair receipts, travel documents, warranties, kids’ school papers—nothing is digitised and I prefer to keep it that way for now. The task is straightforward: sort every document, label folders, and place them into my filing cabinet using a clear “by category” system so I can retrieve anything in seconds.
You’ll work on-site for a few hours each week. I’ll supply the cabinet, colour-coded folders, and a rough outline of the categories; you refine the sub-categories, create a simple index sheet, and file the papers accordingly. Accuracy, discretion, and an eye for logical grouping matter more than speed. Experience organising purely physical records is essential, and a knack for spotting duplicate or outdated paperwork is a plus.
Deliverables
• Fully organised filing cabinet with labelled folders
• Master index (printed) that mirrors the cabinet layout
• Brief handover note summarising any missing or incomplete documents you noticed
If you value order and like the satisfaction of turning piles into a neat, intuitive system, let’s talk.
