Detail-Oriented Virtual Assistant Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I’m looking for a thoughtful, detail-oriented virtual assistant to help me stay organised, focused, and moving forward on a variety of projects. A big part of the role is acting as a sounding board and helping me maintain focus through body doubling sessions, as well as taking on a mix of practical and creative tasks.
What I’m looking for:
Great communication skills — clear, patient, and thoughtful
Someone who takes time to really understand a task before jumping in
Strong attention to detail and good follow-through
Good at organising and prioritising tasks (calendars, notes, project tools, etc.)
Comfortable sending emails, coordinating with freelancers, and handling small admin tasks
Able to research and summarise information (for example, charitable donation strategies)
A creative thinker who enjoys problem solving and coming up with new ideas
An interest in ethics, philosophy, or the humanities would be a bonus
Independent but communicative — happy to check in and talk things through regularly
Some of the things you might help with:
Body doubling sessions to stay on track and focused
Acting as a sounding board for ideas or decisions
Organising files and small tasks (like downloading MP3s from a provided list)
Creating and updating a simple task calendar
Researching and discussing new ideas or projects
Helping with real estate research, flight options, and creating complex travel itineraries
When applying, please answer the following:
How would you approach understanding a new, complex task before getting started?
How would you help me make the decision about which candidate to choose for this project?
Share one example of how you’ve solved a problem creatively or improved an existing process (the weirder, the better).
The post will stay up for around 12–24 hours, then I’ll review bids based on the answers to these questions.
