NC Custody Paralegal Support
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m handling my own custody matter in Onslow County and need day-to-day administrative help from a North Carolina Certified Paralegal who lives close enough to check filings quickly when the eCourts portal lags. The work is strictly support-based—no legal advice—so your focus will be on keeping my case file current and organized while I prepare strategy on my end.
Core work
• Monitor eCourts (and the clerk’s office when needed) for new filings, calendar updates, and notices, then send me a plain-English summary the same day.
• Receive, label, and index every pleading, order, or exhibit so my digital folders mirror the court record.
• When time permits, spot obvious formatting or citation issues in my draft motions and return a clean, proofread version.
What I’m looking for
• Active NCCP certification—family-law familiarity is essential.
• Residence in Onslow, New Hanover, Craven, or Carteret counties so you can access the clerk’s file if the online system is down or incomplete.
• A sharp eye for detail, respect for confidentiality, and the ability to reply promptly when the court posts something new.
Deliverables will be shared through a secure cloud folder; I review every summary and indexed file within 24 hours, and we’ll adjust our workflow as the docket evolves.
If you’re ready to keep my case paperwork flawless and up to date, let’s talk about a schedule that works for both of us.
