Canadian Business Assistant Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My software-focused company is heading into a busy hiring cycle and I’d like a Canada-based assistant who writes and speaks clear, professional English. Your core responsibility will be the administrative side of recruiting so I can stay focused on product and client work.
Day to day you’ll draft or update job posts, keep my ATS tidy, coordinate calendars, and conduct the first round of video interviews. Once we choose a candidate you’ll guide them through onboarding—collecting paperwork, creating welcome packets, and making sure their accounts, benefits forms, and introductory meetings are all in place.
A background in software development isn’t mandatory, but it will help you feel comfortable screening technical applicants and asking the right follow-up questions. Familiarity with common HR tools (e.g., BambooHR, Lever, or similar) is a plus.
Deliverables I’ll measure:
• Interview notes and recommendations for every candidate you screen
• An onboarding checklist fully completed for each new hire within their first week
We’ll start with a handful of roles; if we work well together this can expand into wider administrative support. Let me know your availability in Canadian time zones and any relevant recruiting or technical experience when you apply.
