Assistance with Obtaining a South African ID (Durban Based)
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
This project centres on guiding an applicant through every step of securing a South African ID in Durban. I specifically need someone who is both Durban-based and fluent in isiZulu. Recent legal studies (or at least familiarity with official forms and procedural wording) will be a strong asset, as the core responsibilities revolve around accuracy and compliant documentation.
Primary scope
• Fill in the ID application form completely and correctly, translating any terminology the applicant does not understand.
• Obtain, compile and check all supporting documents so nothing is rejected at the counter.
• Liaise with the relevant Home Affairs office ahead of the visit for appointment confirmation and real-time updates.
• Accompany the applicant in person on the submission day to manage on-site questions and any last-minute formality.
Acceptance criteria
1. Application form signed and ready with no blank mandatory fields.
2. Verified pack of supporting documents, certified where required.
3. Confirmation slip from Home Affairs indicating successful submission.
4. Collect ID when available
Timelines are flexible but ideally the full process (up to submission) should be wrapped up within two weeks of project start. All travel within Durban will be reimbursed separately on presentation of slips.
