Administration and project management of tradesmen for a short renovation project - must be based in the Netherlands
Budget: €18 – €36 EUR
I'm seeking a trustworthy and experienced administrator/mini project manager to hire and oversee various tradesmen for a short renovation project at our house in Leidschendam, near the Hague in the Netherlands. This is a short project with varying and flexible hours, which can be combined with other work or studies.
I am based in Scotland so we will communicate by email and Whatsapp. You need not have any renovation or DIY experience - your important role is to be my eyes and ears on the ground and to drive the project with some enthusiasm and energy, to bring it to a fast and successful conclusion. (ie: repairing and decorating the house to a good standard, ready for the rental market in just a few months).
This role requires good English and Dutch communication skills, as you'll need to provide me with weekly updates on the project's progress and talk to the tradesmen about the work required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire appropriate tradesmen
- Supervise their work
- Communicate with me about progress
- Drive the project to a fast conclusion
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience in project management
- Excellent hiring and supervisory skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Familiarity with trade work (e.g., electricians, plumbers, carpenters) is a plus but not required
Please note, the updates will be required on a weekly basis. Prior experience managing budgets or ensuring compliance with safety regulations is not necessary for this role.
