Windows Server 2025 Migration Setup -- 2

I’m refreshing my on-premise infrastructure and need the entire environment moved onto Windows Server 2025. The job starts with a clean installation of the new OS (physical machine or Hyper-V/VMware guest, whichever we decide fits best) and ends when every workload now running on the legacy server is fully functional on the new platform.

Core tasks
• Install and harden Windows Server 2025.
• Promote the box to a domain controller, replicate Active Directory and seize/transfer all FSMO roles.
• Migrate DNS zones so name resolution remains seamless.
• Move all file shares with existing NTFS and share-level permissions intact, including quotas where applicable.
• Build a two-node failover cluster and validate it for future workloads.
• Use Microsoft’s Server Migration tools (or another proven method you recommend) to carry out the cut-over with minimal downtime.
• Provide a brief hand-off document detailing the steps performed, cluster validation report, and rollback plan.

Acceptance is met when users can sign in, resolve DNS, access their data, and the cluster passes validation with no critical errors.
