On-Prem Server Setup Lead
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m standing up a fresh on-premises environment and need a seasoned infrastructure lead to own the server and storage layer from design through hand-off. The scope is limited to server setup and configuration, but I want it done right the first time.
You’ll start by validating my hardware choices and drawing up a clear topology that plugs smoothly into our existing rack space and network. From there, handle the physical install, firmware updates, RAID layouts, operating-system deployment (Windows Server and/or Ubuntu LTS), baseline hardening, and integration with Active Directory and monitoring tools. I’d like every decision documented so my internal team can pick up where you leave off.
Experience with Dell or HPE servers, VMware vSphere (or comparable hypervisors), and common SAN/NAS arrays will make the job easier, but I’m open to your proven preferences as long as the final build is resilient and well-documented.
Deliverables
• Architecture diagram and bill of materials
• Fully configured servers with redundancy verified and OS hardened
• Complete build/run documentation with rollback steps
The engagement is considered complete once the servers are live, pass a joint smoke test, and my team is comfortable managing them day-to-day.
