Multi-OS, Desktop, Mobile Chat, Voice, Video application
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I will not respond to anyone who says "Hey, I'm interested...." so please read the job and give me some examples of why you are the expert I should hire.
Here's the job:
You will be creating a chat / voice / video solution
It must install on an Ubuntu Server environment. This must be an opensource solution.
The following client environments must be able to interact with it:
* Desktops - Windows/Apple (Linux maybe?)
* Mobile: Apple IOS / Android
The chat software must authenticate to our LDAP server. We are using Samba 4 Active Directory / Domain Controller
For the voice / video portion, it must use Jitsi technology.
However the chat software is where user authentication will initiate and chat software will be the first / initial interaction between users. Once they are engaged in chat they will have the ability to engage via voice or video.
When completed you must provide clear step by step documentation / instructions on how to install and configure the end product on our server. We will be using that documentation to repeat your success on a second server.
We will be creating an Ansible role from your documentation.
In this way if we want to install it on one of our customers servers, the process will be simple and easily replicated.
Here is a roadmap of how we think this application should flow:
I will state our need in more detail below to be sure you understand the goals.
* The beginning communication between users must be with text / chat. That is the main interface.
* The login to the chat software should require LDAP authentication against our server.
* The chat software should allow two people or a group of people to communicate.
* A group should be able to be created of selected existing LDAP users.
* Alerts are very important. There must be an alert in every case that lets people know when someone is trying to reach them.
* If the person was away from their computer, there must be some visual evidence / alert still visible that shows someone was trying to reach them.
* If two people are chatting and wish to go to a speaking conversation, they should be able to do this by clicking a phone icon of some kind. This should not require any further authentication.
* If two people are chatting and wish to go to a video conversation, they should be able to do this by clicking a video icon of some kind. This should not require any further authentication.
* If more than two people are chatting and wish to form a group voice or video call this should be possible.
* The voice / video software should be Jitsi based.
* It should be brandable ie; modify colors, logo or title
That is the job. Thank you for considering it.
I've also created a video for you to introduce myself and provide another way of learning about this project:
