Hyper-V Enterprise Network Setup

Job ID: 39973487

Budget: $30 – $250 CAD

Using Hyper-V I need a clean, reproducible build of a small enterprise network that mirrors real-world administration tasks. The environment consists of two virtual machines:

• DC01 – Windows Server 2019 acting as domain controller
• Wkstn01 – Windows 10 workstation that will join the domain

A single domain is required. After the operating systems are installed and patched, configure the following core services on DC01 and validate everything from Wkstn01:

1. Active Directory Domain Services with the new forest and domain.
2. DHCP and WDS so the workstation can be PXE-boot-imaged if needed.
3. Group Policy enforcing the selected policies:
‑ Password policies
‑ Security policies
4. A shared folder secured with correct NTFS and share permissions for users and groups you create.
5. System Restore enabled and sized appropriately on both VMs.
6. Windows Firewall tuned to allow management traffic and WinRM/RSAT connections.

Run the provided PowerShell validation script (or equivalent cmdlets) on each VM, capture the output and relevant logs, then compress them:

yournameDC01.zip – everything from the server
yournameWkstn01.zip – everything from the workstation

When both ZIP files pass all PowerShell checks, upload them to Brightspace and send them to me here as well so I can verify. Clear, step-by-step notes or a short video of the process would be helpful for future reference but are optional; the two working VMs and ZIP archives are the mandatory deliverables.
