Teen Actors Needed: Double Jake

Job ID: 40115013

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m opening casting for the two lead roles in my grounded, coming-of-age series “Double Jake.” Production explores what it feels like to stumble through freshman year, survive marching-band drills, start a garage band and keep faith in big dreams even when money, parents, or plain bad luck get in the way.

For both parts I need performers who look and feel authentic in the 13-to-15 age bracket. The camera has to believe you still sprint for the school bus, argue over cafeteria pizza and celebrate a B-minus as if it were the Super Bowl.

Role 1 – Jake
A funny, easygoing spirit who hides his occasional doubts behind quick wit and a grin. Timing, natural comedic beats and understated vulnerability are key. Musical ability (even a few guitar chords or snare-drum rudiments) is a plus but not a deal-breaker.

Role 2 – Best Friend
Charismatic and adventurous, the kind of kid who finds the unused rooftop stairwell, drags everyone up there and turns it into a rehearsal space. Presence and genuine curiosity should shine through the lens.

If you fit either description, here’s what I need from you:

• One self-tape (60–90 seconds) performing a contemporary comedic monologue that shows emotional shifts.
• A five-line improvisation riffing on a moment when a best plan goes hilariously wrong.
• Current headshot and brief résumé or list of experience, including any musical skills.

Shoot schedule is planned for weekends and select weekdays this fall in the greater Atlanta area; travel stipends are handled case by case. [Removed by Admin]

Send your materials and any questions my way—I’m excited to see what you bring to Jake’s world.
