I'm looking for a voice artist to mimic a Queens/ Brooklyn 1980's-1990's GUIDO/NYC accent for an adult audiobook. The tone will be engaging and authentic and humorous and serious. The memoir is a love story taking place 1990s NYC between an executive woman and her "wise-guy" boyfriend. My voice is the majority. I have written direction into the script for guidance.
Requirements:
- Authentic Queens Brooklyn Guido accent -majority is age 25-26....w minimal sentences of his younger self- voice age 14-19. MALE actors only.
- Experience in voice acting or narration.
- Ability to convey emotion and character through voice as it ranges from entertaining/humorous, from calm to explosive/love struck to true hate.
-voice must be husky and sexy.
The character is a complicated individual with a full range of emotions.
One other voice- His brother: @3 sentences.
Ideal Skills:
- Strong vocal control
- Previous audiobook experience
- Background in acting or improv. This is important as book is read like a movie script. This is not a typical stagnant audiobook.
-must be animated as in a real conversation taking place.
I looked into AI voices and but want a HUMAN /as in voice actor.
I did find my ACTOR/his voice! who was perfect but he ghosted me when I was ready to hire. Please only respond if you are serious. I will ask for a tryout by sending a few paragraphs.
