Actors and crew needed for student project
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I’m producing and directing a student project titled “A New Little Honky Tonk”. It’s a short film about a guy named Tucker from a small town in Alberta who grew up on his dads ranch but was most often seen playing hockey his whole life. After he’s graduated and cut from his junior team, he’s starting to realize that his hockey days may soon be over. After battling an injury, and producing less points than he’s ever had, he’s persuaded to try and a find a new passion in his life. After several arguments with his father on the ranch, he tries his hand competing in rodeo but soon discovers that this is no what he’s cut out to do. One night at the local bar (Honky Tonk) he meets a girl (Addison) they dance but at the end of the night he ditches her for his buddies. The next day he discovers that his dad has hired Addison to work for the ranch. Tucker can’t believe it and feels bad for ditching her the night before. Over the next few weeks, Tucker can’t stop thinking about her and spends every chance he can trying to talk to Addison and win her over. By the end of the film, the two fall in love and Tucker has finally found the person who gives his life meaning and he now has a purpose in love: he has found himself a new little Honky Tonk.
For this project I am looking for a male lead, a female lead, 4 supporting actors, and extras as well.
I do have some crew members helping out, just looking for a DOP, and an additional camera operator.
