I need outside noise kept out so I can truly relax. The scope is focused only on the walls; the ceiling and windows are fine for now. Your task is to remove (or over-lay, if more efficient) the existing wall surface and install purpose-built soundproof drywall.
Please include all steps required for a professional result: adding acoustic sealant around studs and perimeters, staggering seams, taping, mudding, and leaving the surface ready for primer. If you normally combine the drywall with Green Glue, resilient channels, or similar enhancements, let me know—I'm open to your proven methods as long as the core material remains soundproof drywall.
Final acceptance will be based on:
• Smooth, paint-ready finish with no visible seams
• All penetrations (outlet boxes, switches) isolated and sealed
• A brief before-and-after dB reading showing measurable reduction
