3-Year Financial Model Build
Budget: $10 – $50 CAD
I’m putting together a three-year business plan for a new non-profit eco-exploration education organization that operates a fleet of ocean sailing yachts. I need a dynamic, moderately sophisticated model in either Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets that will roll forward an integrated income statement, balance sheet, and cash-flow statement.
The workbook must start with an input tab where I can flex the key drivers of the business—yacht utilisation, tuition pricing (our primary revenue stream), operating costs, cap-ex schedules, financing terms, and any other assumption that meaningfully affects performance. I’d also like space to layer in or switch on additional revenue lines such as charter services or membership fees later, so please leave the structure expandable rather than hard-coded to a single line.
Downstream tabs should pull directly from the input sheet, with clear, traceable formulas (no black-box macros). Each of the three statements must balance automatically and update instantly whenever an assumption changes. A simple dashboard that visualises EBITDA, cash runway, and key ratios will help me explain the plan to potential donors and financiers. Finally, include at least one risk or sensitivity module—scenario toggles, a data table, or another approach you prefer—so I can stress-test fuel price spikes, weather downtime, or lower-than-expected lesson enrolment.
Deliverables
• Fully linked Excel or Google Sheet model covering 36 monthly periods and three annual summaries
• Input sheet with editable drivers and clear instructions/comments
• Integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statement that reconcile and balance automatically
• Sensitivity or scenario analysis section with at least two user-defined variables
• Visual summary dashboard (charts or KPI blocks) suitable for presentation
I expect clean formatting, consistent cell protection for formulas, and the ability to add more boats or revenue lines without breaking the model. If this sounds like a build you’re comfortable with, let’s discuss timing and any clarifications you need.
Please provide an estimation of the amount of time you expect this to take, as well as some examples of past models produced (redactions are fine).
