Location: Remote (with required travel to Los Angeles on June 23rd & 24th)
Certification Requirement: Active Workday Financials certification (must be transferable for the duration of the engagement)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Financials Lead Consultant to support a strategic engagement focused on advisory, configuration, and post-deployment optimization. This part-time opportunity is ideal for seasoned consultants who want to make a meaningful impact in a targeted, high-value initiative.
You will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring accurate, best-practice Workday configuration and successful solution delivery.
Note: Candidate must be available to travel to the client office in Los Angeles on June 23rd and 24th for an on-site kickoff meeting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead configuration, testing, deployment, and advisory services during and post-Workday Financials implementation
Translate business needs into scalable, best-practice Workday Financials configurations
Support enhancement and optimization for post-production clients
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including project managers and integration teams
Guide clients through testing processes including UAT
Contribute to pre-sales and go-to-market strategy for Workday Financials offerings
Act as a subject matter expert and product lead for the Workday Financials suite
Required Qualifications:
Active Workday Financials certification (pro-certifications acceptable); must be transferable for project duration
4+ years of direct Workday experience with at least two full-cycle financial deployments
Deep functional expertise in key Workday Financial modules, including:
Foundational Data Model (FDM)
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
Supplier & Customer Accounts
Projects & Revenue Management
Proven experience leading design workshops and client confirmation sessions
Functional understanding of Workday financial integrations and API touchpoints
Experience supporting testing cycles and guiding clients through UAT
Strong communication, analytical, and client-facing skills
Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Finance, Computer Science, or related discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Workday Accounting Center
Previous consulting experience with Workday-certified partners
