Weekly Bookkeeping & Statement Preparation
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I need a detail-oriented accountant to take full ownership of my books on a weekly cycle. Every Friday you’ll log in to QuickBooks Online, categorize the week’s transactions, reconcile two bank accounts, and flag any discrepancies before close of business.
Twice a month you will also run payroll for 12 salaried employees through Gusto, ensuring taxes and benefits are recorded correctly in the ledger.
At month-end I expect a clean Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash-Flow report that trace back perfectly to the reconciled data, ready for my review and for my CPA’s quarterly filings.
Deliverables & cadence
• Friday (weekly): updated QuickBooks file, reconciliation report, brief cash summary
• 15th & last day: payroll processed, journals posted, confirmation sent
• Month-end (within 3 days): Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash-Flow PDF + exported spreadsheets
Accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication are crucial; I value concise notes that let me understand anomalies at a glance. Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and Gusto is essential—experience with Excel or Google Sheets for quick variance analysis is a plus.
