Looking to Hire an Expert Witness in VC Compensation
Budget: $10 – $50 USD
I'm in need an expert witness who specializes in income and compensation within the venture capital industry. This is required for a case surrounding a loss of income. The ideal candidate would be able to provide insight and testimony on the relevant areas of lost wages and lost carry in a venture capital firm.
Specifically, the project involves:
- Providing expert opinion on the income and compensation structure in the venture capital field.
- Offering analysis on the lost wages and lost carry relevant to the case.
- Being able to present complex financial information in a clear and accessible manner for a legal audience.
To provide context, the plaintiff was a partner at a venture capital firm and was dismissed from his position due to job-related fatigue. This fatigue was the result of obstructive sleep apnea, a condition stemming from orthodontic treatment received during childhood, which narrowed his upper airway. The obstructive sleep apnea remained undiagnosed for decades until it was finally identified in 2013. The job loss happened in 2008, and the orthodontic treatment took place in 1989.
I need a relevant expert to assess the income loss. The individual presenting in court will be based in the USA or Canada. They may also conduct the research, but I am open to having someone outside the USA or Canada handle the research.
The case goes to trial in January of 2025, and submission need to be in by late September. The ideal candidate should have a previous history of serving as an expert witness in similar cases. Prior experience in the venture capital or private equity industry is a strong advantage.
The deliverable is an expert report and you would be required to provide testimony in court, via video conference.
