Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Tally Developer who can customize Tally (ERP 9 / TallyPrime) and build solutions to import, export, and transform Tally data into client-demanded Excel templates. The role requires strong expertise in Tally Definition Language (TDL) and hands-on experience with data mapping, reporting, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Customize Tally ERP 9 / TallyPrime using TDL based on business requirements
Develop solutions to extract Tally data and export it into predefined/custom Excel templates
Handle data mapping, transformation, and validation between Tally and Excel
Create custom reports, vouchers, screens, and forms in Tally
Implement import utilities for bringing Excel/CSV data into Tally
Work closely with business teams to understand reporting and compliance needs
Debug and optimize existing TDL customizations
Provide documentation and basic user guidance for developed solutions
Ensure accuracy, performance, and data integrity in all custom developments
Required Skills & Expertise
Strong hands-on experience with Tally ERP 9 / TallyPrime
Proficiency in Tally Definition Language (TDL)
Solid understanding of Tally data structure (Masters, Vouchers, Ledgers, Stock, GST, etc.)
Experience in Excel integration, including:
Custom Excel templates
CSV/XML/ODBC-based data handling
Knowledge of GST, accounting concepts, and statutory reports
Ability to understand custom business workflows and translate them into TDL logic
Good to Have
Experience with ODBC connectivity and third-party integrations
Knowledge of automation scripts or utilities for data processing
Prior experience working on client-specific Tally customizations
Familiarity with multi-company and multi-location accounting setups
Experience
2+ years of relevant experience as a Tally Developer / TDL Developer
