Strategic Tax Advisor for Multi-Business S-Corp (U.S.-Based, QuickBooks & Structuring Expert)
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
We’re looking for an experienced U.S. tax professional or consultant to help us get our financial house in order.
We operate a consulting business registered as an S-Corp that builds and launches multiple businesses under one parent structure. Some of these entities are DBAs; others may evolve into spin-off companies. The business was operating at a loss previously, but we are now starting to become profitable — and we need someone to step in, clean up, and guide us going forward.
This is not just a tax prep job. We’re looking for someone who can be hands-on and strategic, who understands business structuring, tax planning, and how to position a company for long-term success, sale, or scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and organize QuickBooks records for 2023 and 2024
Prepare or assist in preparing 2024 tax filings (S-Corp)
Advise on multi-DBA and spin-off business structure and compliance
Recommend ways to improve write-offs, efficiency, and entity organization
Help us move business operations and records fully from Oregon to Florida
Assist in reviewing/overhauling our current tax advisor's work (we are not getting the support we need)
Ensure we stay compliant, clean, and optimized for growth
Potential for ongoing quarterly advisory relationship
Requirements:
U.S.-based CPA, Enrolled Agent, or tax expert with S-Corp experience
Fluent in QuickBooks Online and small business tax structure
Experience managing taxes and filings for consulting firms with multiple DBAs
Strong knowledge of state-to-state transition (Oregon to Florida preferred)
Proactive, organized, and ready to take full ownership of the accounting side
Able to explain complex tax ideas in clear language
Hustler mindset — we want someone who can move fast, stay legal, and help us grow
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with how to prep a business for potential acquisition or spin-off
Startup or agency tax experience
Familiarity with cannabis, supplements, or online business structures is a plus (not required)
Workload & Budget:
Project-based with the option to move to quarterly advisory
Immediate need: cleanup, tax prep, and restructuring guidance
Budget: Open to hourly or fixed — depending on scope and experience
To Apply:
Please include:
A short note describing your relevant experience
Your approach to handling multi-DBA S-Corp tax structuring
Any specific experience moving business registration across states
Your availability and rate
We are looking to start ASAP and move fast with the right fit.
