Small Business Financial Statements Preparation
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am seeking a detail-oriented accountant or bookkeeper to organize and prepare accurate financial statements for my businesses for the 2022 and 2023 fiscal years. All of the statements for each account have already been converted to excel format. You must go through the transactions for each year and properly itemize each transaction and creat the Businesses Financial Statements (PNL & BS) for tax filing purposes. This role also involves reviewing my personal bank account statements to identify any business-related transactions made that should be included such as making a payment for a business credit card, owner investments, and Etc. I need this to be completed ASAP perferably by the end of this week if possible.
Key Responsibilities
1. Organize and Classify Transactions:
Review and categorize all business-related transactions from each accounts transactions that have already been converted to excel from the PDF statements, including:
Wire transfers
Business credit card payments (multiple cards)
Bank account statements (business and personal accounts where applicable).
Properly classify transactions into appropriate categories (e.g., income, expenses, assets, liabilities).
2. Review Personal Account Transactions:
Analyze personal bank account statements to identify:
Business-related expenses paid from personal accounts.
Owner investments and reimbursements to/from the business.
3. Prepare Financial Statements:
Create detailed and accurate P&L Statements and Balance Sheets for each business for 2022 and 2023.
Use Excel to create dynamic workbooks with automated calculations that generate the P&L and BS.
4. Deliver Editable Excel Workbooks:
Provide Excel workbooks with unlocked and unprotected calculation pages to allow full access to formulas and data for future use or adjustments.
5.Ensure Accuracy and Compliance:
Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Ensure all reports meet U.S. tax filing standards and requirements.
Project Deliverables
1. Fully itemized and categorized P&L Statements and Balance Sheets for 2022 and 2023 for each business.
2. A summary of business-related transactions identified from personal accounts.
3. Editable Excel Workbooks for each business with:
Automated calculations for the P&L and BS.
Unlocked and unprotected sheets for future access and adjustments.
