We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team remotely. This entry-level accounting role is perfect for individuals with prior accounting or administrative experience who are ready to build their skills in the property management industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor and Billing Support

Set up vendor accounts in Buildium, ensuring all required documentation is collected and uploaded.

Process invoices, ensuring proper coding to the correct GL codes in Buildium.

Submit invoices for supervisor approval and ensure timely and accurate payment processing.

Customer Service and Ledger Management

Respond to resident inquiries regarding their account ledgers via email, providing accurate and timely information.

Post payments to resident accounts in Buildium and maintain accurate records.

Notify residents of outstanding balances or payment issues, providing excellent customer service.

Generate and update account ledgers in Buildium as needed.

Email Management and Communication

Respond to incoming emails from residents, vendors, and team members promptly, ensuring all inquiries are addressed by the close of business.

Organize and file emails, ensuring only actionable items remain in the general inbox.

Task Coordination and Reporting

Log and categorize invoices, payments, and other financial transactions in the appropriate software systems.

Assist with generating financial reports as needed.

Provide additional accounting support as required, helping maintain organized and accurate financial records for the property management team.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; additional accounting certifications preferred.

Prior accounting or administrative experience is required, with a strong focus on accounts payable and vendor management.

Must be proficient in Buildium or similar property management software, with a deep understanding of invoice processing, vendor setup, and GL coding.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and handle sensitive financial information.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and financial analysis.

Trustworthiness and reliability are essential for handling sensitive financial data.
