Quicken Personal Data Overhaul

Job ID: 40254007

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

I have several years’ worth of personal transactions, multiple accounts, living in one Quicken file. Over time the register has picked up duplicate entries, stray splits, and empty payee lines; categories have drifted out of sync with my current budget; and the tax-related tags I once used have lost consistency.

The job is to open my existing Quicken file (Windows subscription version), work directly inside it, and return a cleaned‐up copy that:
• fixes every detectable error in transactions (dates, amounts, duplicates, splits, missing payees)
• reorganizes the category list into a logical, non-redundant structure that aligns with standard Quicken best practices and my own naming style
• restores clear tax flow so Schedule-A, Schedule-C, and investment tax reports run without missing or mis-mapped fields

When you finish, I expect:
1. The corrected .QDF file ready for immediate use.
2. A short change log noting the major adjustments you made.
3. A set of saved Quicken reports (cash-flow, spending by category, and tax summary) so I can confirm everything reconciles.

You will have remote access to the file through a secure share; no live banking credentials are involved. Experience with large historic Quicken files, category merges, and the Tax Schedule report is essential. A quick turnaround is appreciated, but accuracy comes first.
