Quicken Category & Tax Schedule Cleanup
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a Quicken Home & Business file on the latest release that needs a thorough tune-up. 2020-2025 mostly business income and expense items—are either uncategorized or sitting in the wrong place, and the attached tax schedules are all over the map. I want every line cleaned up so my books flow straight into the correct IRS Schedule C (and any other relevant schedules) without surprises at tax time.
Here’s what I expect when we’re done:
• Every transaction from the past years reviewed and moved into the right business category.
• Accurate tax-line assignments for each category, with no blanks or “Unassigned”.
• A short summary report noting any new categories you created or major re-mappings you made.
You’ll receive a backup of the file; you can work via a shared cloud folder or a secure remote session—whichever you prefer. No changes to account balances or reconciliations should be made unless discussed first. Once you return the updated file, I’ll spot-check a few entries and run a Tax Schedule report; if everything lines up, we’re good.
