Quickbooks Setup for Manufacturing

Job ID: 32361481

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have a new company and I need to set up QuickBooks or Xero for my manufacturing products. Each sub-products have different costs associated with them and the portions of these sub-products + labor + shipping is what create my final product to sell.

Then we ship it to our manufacturer to package the finished/assembled product and we want to be able to factor in the shipping and labor cost associated with manufacturing these products in QBO so that I know exactly how much profit was made on each PO.

the small costs in manufacturing are what I am trying to make sure we don't forget to factor in as that can make a very big difference. I need to be able to gather my profit from each PO after my costs are factored in.

subproduct a
+subproduct b
+subproduct c
+shipping
+labor
= assembly product to sell

this is what I wanted to but my problem is that shipping costs change often so I would have to change the product assembly which is not feasible.

How would you recommend starting my QBO so that I don't miss any of these costs? Can we do this with QBO? Is Xero better? Can you help me set this up and show me how this will work?
