QuickBooks company setup
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are a small business wanting to setup QuickBooks to do our bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, expenses etc. I understand that QuickBooks is a very good platform and It is supposed to be simple to use.
But the problem I see is getting it set up because in my opinion the way the website is set up it’s cumbersome and confusing so if someone can set it all up and we just maintain it every time we have a bill or something comes in it would be great we can just keep it
So I am looking for someone who knows Quickbooks like the back of their hand. I am somewhat familiar with Quickbooks as I owned a corporation that use QuickBooks but that was way back in the late 90s 1990s. The Quickbooks we had then you had to buy and it was on a disk and it was good where you could get the profit and loss statement and the balance sheet was just a few key strokes and I’d like to have that capability again.
So today I purchased as a member the second tiered one not the first the second one is I believe it’s on sale for $40 per month for the first three months. I am hoping that this is powerful enough the company that we are gonna set up is small just two people, A husband and wife team What we’d like to do is to have something ready to go very simple that when we buy something we can input the receipt into the proper chart of accounts and we can track how much were spending for each cost center. I don’t expect to have more than 25 different categories in the chart of accounts for expenses we do have revenue and we will have some but very very little cost of goods sold Basically no inventory whatsoever
A little bit about the business:
We have a fishing boat but we’re going to use it as a tour boat take people out on evening cruises outside of Honolulu, Hawaii.
So my wife is in the process of finalizing to websites for this business so we can attract customers and book tours. What I am wondering is if Quickbooks can download or take the information directly off the websites and place the revenue at least into QuickBooks or do we have to manually input each days revenue into QuickBooks by ourselves
I had a little question because the one that we purchase for Quickbooks says it’s good for up to five users. Is that for five user people to operate it or is that for five separate companies can be used
The freelancer we hire would need to be able to pick up the pieces and tell us what we need to do because we don’t know very much about Quickbooks at all but all I know is once it’s set up it’s very powerful.
