We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced freelancer to assist us with managing payroll processes using QuickBooks specifically tailored for Spain. This is a remote position, and you will be working closely with our finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees in Spain.
Responsibilities:
QuickBooks Setup: Configure QuickBooks to meet the specific payroll requirements of Spain, including tax regulations, social security contributions, and other relevant local laws.
Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for employees in Spain, ensuring that all earnings, deductions, and contributions are calculated correctly and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Employee Data Management: Maintain an up-to-date database of employee information, including personal details, employment contracts, salary adjustments, and any other relevant data required for payroll processing.
Tax Compliance: Stay updated on Spain's tax laws and ensure accurate calculation and reporting of employee income tax, social security contributions, and other mandatory deductions.
Payslip Generation: Generate and distribute electronic or physical payslips to employees in compliance with Spanish regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of the information.
Recordkeeping: Maintain organized and detailed records of payroll transactions, including pay registers, payroll tax reports, and other relevant documents required for auditing purposes.
Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations between payroll records, general ledger, and bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
Year-End Processes: Assist in year-end payroll processes, including issuing tax forms (such as Modelo 190), preparing annual reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Communication and Support: Collaborate with the finance team and HR department to address employee queries related to payroll, tax deductions, and other payroll-related matters.
Requirements:
