Recruitment Criteria – Personal Assistant to Company Director
Industry: Construction (Australia)
1. Educational Qualifications
• Minimum: Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration, Executive Assistance, or a related field.
2. Work Experience
• Minimum 3+ years as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or Administrative Officer.
• Experience in construction, property development, or engineering industries is highly desirable.
• Proven record of supporting senior executives or company directors in dynamic environments.
3. Technical & Administrative Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with project/construction management software (e.g., Procore, Aconex, MYOB) is advantageous.
• Strong in document control, scheduling, travel coordination, and expense report management.
• Capable of managing calendars, meeting logistics, and high volumes of correspondence.
4. Communication & Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Professional in phone and email etiquette.
• Able to confidently liaise with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Maintains discretion and handles confidential matters with maturity and professionalism.
5. Organisational & Time Management Skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Works well under pressure in fast-paced and deadline-driven settings.
• Proactive and solutions-oriented, with strong initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
6. Industry Knowledge & Awareness
• Understands basic construction workflows, terminology, and project lifecycles.
• Familiarity with Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices in Australia is a plus.
• Awareness of compliance obligations and regulatory requirements within the Australian construction industry.
