PAYROLL SPECIALIST / VIRTUAL ASSISTANTS NEEDED IN USA
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
As a PART-TIME Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for all aspects of payroll, including but not limited to:
• Ability to prepare and process biweekly payroll on their own
• Maintain and ensure accuracy and consistency of payroll database and records including earnings, deductions, along with tax withholding setup and maintenance, audits, payroll reports - Processing all necessary corrections as needed.
• Manage payroll compliance, all remittance, and year-end activities.
• Oversee, calculate, and post employee time and attendance data and earnings including base pay, overtime, shift differential and other incentives.
• Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Prepare and process off cycle payroll as requested
• Prepare monthly payroll and benefit related journal entries
• Interface with HR regularly on payroll and benefit related matters including auditing and resolving discrepancies.
• Responsible to address all employee payroll related queries.
• Process all garnishments and other mandated employee deductions
Job Requirements:
• Payroll Experience required 3+ years
• Strong judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
• Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proven clear thinker, well organized, levelheaded with strong common sense
• Punctual, self-disciplined, and capable of completing critical tasks with sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
• Must work well under pressure
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Word, Outlook and proficient in Excel)
• 10 keys by touch
• Resolve managers and employee questions as they relate to payroll issues
• Must be willing to work overtime if needed
