Ninja Accountant for Financial Technology startup -- 2
Budget: $2 – $3 USD
...note...i could not see how to re-open the prior post for this project, so this is the same posting text...
We are a small, and growing, MNC with about 16 Teammates across the globe (US, Liberia, India, Nigeria, Benin, Qatar, Kuwait, Pakistan, Philippines). Each of us on our Team are very entrepreneurial and hardworking.
Our focus is developing and marketing technology providing value to our customers and recurring-revenue to the company. High margin, high volume, long-term monthly-recurring-revenue, is our goal in all our ventures. Currently we provide telecom to several small/mid-sized hotels in the US, and are working on a financial technology product for a large telecom carrier in Africa.
We need an entrepreneurial rockstar accountant who will protect our $ as the money was from their own pocket; meaning help us to control costs, increase profits, keep up on collections. The role is to ‘own’ our accounting and financial management.
All in all we currently have a weekly payroll for our team of about 12 - we use Monitask to log our time, and generate the payroll from there. We also have about 10 accounts payable each week, and 5 invoiced A/R each month. The commitment will be about 5-10 hours per week. We work on a weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual cadence. We have no ‘set hours’; each of us does our work when it is best for us and simply log our time. Initially you will need to work some hours during US morning times so you can be trained and sync with our Boston based management.
The tools we use are: QuickBooks, Google docs/ google drive, MS Office, and Monitask.
General expectations are:
1. Highly organized financial management, processes, artifacts, backups, etc.
2. Honest, committed, and entrepreneurial Team player - our Team often does too many things at the same time and can be disorganized. You need to thrive in this environment, and bring financial discipline to the Team
3. Financial advice to enable the company to be more effective and efficient
4. Cost management and payments
5. Financial accounts reconciliation and expenses / receipts recording including payroll payments to
vendors/contractors
6. Revenue management
7. Weekly Financial review and planning session
