MALTA - Licensed Accountant / Bookkeeper (SME) -- 2

We are looking for an experienced freelance accountant/bookkeeper to manage the accounting and compliance for our operating company and holding structure (Fiscal Unit) in Malta.

Scope of Work:
- Quarterly bookkeeping and accounting
- Preparation and filing of VAT returns
- Preparation of tax-related documentation
- Annual submissions and compliance filings with the Malta Business Registry (MBR)
- General support on Maltese accounting and tax compliance matters
- Document preparation and support of Audits

Requirements:
- Proven experience with Maltese accounting and tax regulations (licensed Accountant)
- Familiarity with fiscal unit structures in Malta
- Must operate with their own professional accounting software
- High attention to detail and strong compliance mindset
- Long term
- Reliable, responsive, and deadline-driven
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
